Hi friends! Can you believe it’s been just over one year since I was diagnosed with cancer for the second time?! October 16, 2018. I guess time flies while you’re having fun. Ha!! I’m jumping on here to give a quick update on our cancer journey. These past five months of treatment have been crazy hard. To give you a little snapshot of the craziness, I came down with walking pneumonia during some of the hottest days of summer. It hasn’t been easy, that’s for sure. But worth it. This chemo, although it has kicked my butt, has done its job. I had another PET scan last Monday and my doctor gave the results to me on Friday. Ready to hear?
THERE IS NO CANCER IN MY BODY. The bigger tumor started at 24.3mm in April, measured 7.3mm in July and 0.0MM in October. Watch these suckers melt away…

So with that great news, I’m taking a break from chemotherapy. I’ve been on four different chemo drugs for just about a year now and my body needs a break. I need rest. We’ll start something up again if or when we need to. For now, I’m on holiday.
I’m still on immunotherapy. That’s something that I will continue for two years. Its a drug that I receive through infusion, every other week. So I’ll still be going to the doctor’s office and receiving treatment through my port. It just won’t be nearly as harsh as it has been.
I’ll continue scans every three months, or so, to monitor my body and to be on the lookout for any cancer. The plan for the immunotherapy drug I’m on is to “teach” my immune system to just kill the cancer cells when or if they begin to grow again. That is my prayer.
God is so good. All of the glory goes to Him. Now we celebrate.
Thanking Jesus and celebrating with you all. Amazing !!! So happy , what a blessing!πππLove to all!
