This morning I will find out if I have cancer. Last Friday I had my first CT scan post treatment. It was the first CT scan of my chest since September of 2016.
Thank you for all your prayers and love. This will be my new normal. Typically after treatment patients will have scans or tests every three months or so and then spread them out to every six months, then to once a year. I will be having a CT scan every three months for the next three years. It’s annoying but needed. Some people have asked why there is so much time between my last scan and this one. The reason is my body has already had a large amount of radiation. Roughly three months needed to be in between my last radiation treatment and my scan.
A lot of life has happened in between my last post and now. I quit my job. We went to Disney World. I have become a stay at home mom. We have decided to homeschool our eldest this coming fall. Tim has thrown himself into real estate as well as his full-time job at our church. As well as teaching music to preschoolers. Did I mention that I quit my job?
I’ll update you guys as soon as I find out what my scan showed. In the meantime, if you haven’t already watched this, check out our story that our friends Dustin and Adam produced for our church:
Then watch this one to, you know, lighten the mood 🙂
Praying for good results, Kim. You, Tim and the girls have been and will continue to be in my prayers!
